We have finished our second CD and I'm happy with the results.
The CD entitled "Someday" contains songs from the Great American Songbook, such as Night and Day, The Nearness of You and Someday My Prince Will Come.

Paul Sheehy - Bio

Paul started playing piano at a very early age. He began piano lessons at 6 years of age, eventually achieving his Grade 8 on piano. In his teen years, he took up playing bass and played regularly on weekends in a number of bands that ran the gamut from rock to jazz with the odd country gig thrown in for good measure. After finishing high-school, he went on tour with a rock band and played professionally. Eventually, after discovering that the musician's life was not for him, he quit playing professionally, returned to university and embarked on another career path. Now he plays for enjoyment and performs at clubs, restaurants and special events in the Ottawa area. The Paul Sheehy Trio was formed, with like-minded musicians, to share our love of Jazz music with an audience.

Sheldon Walklin Bio

Sheldon started playing guitar at age 12. Within a few months he formed his first band and soon found himself playing at school dances and community events. He was self-taught up until age 17, at which time he entered the music program at Grant MacEwan college in Edmonton where he studied performing arts and recording engineering for the next three years. It was during that time that he acquired a deep appreciation for Jazz and established himself within the Jazz community. He continued to play professionally for many years thereafter in both live and studio settings, covering all genres of music from Jazz to Classic Rock.

Luc Poulin - bass

Luc plays acoustic bass when we have the Trio or Quartet formats. He began his musical career at the end of the seventies with classical guitar studies. He studied two years of music theory and solfège studies in 1991 at École de musique de l'Outaouais. He graduated from the University of Ottawa with a music degree in the Spring of 1999. He formed and lead the Fifty Fingers Jazz Quintet for two years. Since then he has been busy performing in many venues as a highly in-demand bass player. Luc also teaches electric and acoustic bass students.

Chris Braeuel - Bio

Chris began his musical debut in the early 1980s as a drummer in several local Rock&Roll bands over the decade. In the early 1990s he joined the pop cover band Mourning Glory for three seasons. After several years away from the band scene, Chris made the transition from drumming to percussion. With his love for various Latin and jazz fusion rhythms, he joined the Latin ensemble, Rumbamania Compania, as a conga and bongo player. It was through this experience that Chris met Paul and eventually decided to form the Paul Sheehy Trio with Sheldon Walklin. Chris' main percussion influences include Latin virtuosos Giovanni Hidalgo and Tito Puente.
