Paul Sheehy - Bio
Paul started playing piano at a very early age. He began piano lessons at 6 years of age, eventually achieving his Grade 8 on piano. In his teen years, he took up playing bass and played regularly on weekends in a number of bands that ran the gamut from rock to jazz with the odd country gig thrown in for good measure. After finishing high-school, he went on tour with a rock band and played professionally. Eventually, after discovering that the musician's life was not for him, he quit playing professionally, returned to university and embarked on another career path. Now he plays for enjoyment and performs at clubs, restaurants and special events in the Ottawa area. The Paul Sheehy Trio was formed, with like-minded musicians, to share our love of Jazz music with an audience.

Sheldon Walklin Bio
Sheldon started playing guitar at age 12. Within a few months he formed his first band and soon found himself playing at school dances and community events. He was self-taught up until age 17, at which time he entered the music program at Grant MacEwan college in Edmonton where he studied performing arts and recording engineering for the next three years. It was during that time that he acquired a deep appreciation for Jazz and established himself within the Jazz community. He continued to play professionally for many years thereafter in both live and studio settings, covering all genres of music from Jazz to Classic Rock.

Chris Braeuel - Bio
Chris began playing the drums at age 12 and is self-taught. From Junior High through High School, he performed live rock n’ roll and hard rock songs with various local bands. After taking a break from music for a few years, Chris rekindled his passion and joined the pop cover band Mourning Glory for several years while in University. By the late 90s, his musical tastes had expanded as Chris fell in love with Latin Jazz and Bossa Nova during his travels through the Americas. Looking for a new challenge, he diversified his gift for rhythm by learning the congas and bongos and performing live with Rumbamania Compania, a then well-known Latin ensemble in Ottawa-Gatineau. When the ensemble eventually split, Chris united with Paul Sheehy to form what soon after became the Paul Sheehy Trio. Chris applies a creative mix to music, using congas, bongos, brush techniques with snare drum, cymbals, chimes and other percussion instruments for optimum effect and balance. His main influences include Alvaro De Minaya and Giovanni Hidalgo
